Me.
Hi. Thanks for stopping in. My name is Susana Morgan. I enjoy doing any number of things. Reading, writing, traveling, trying new and delicious foods, working, volunteering, and spending time with my family are just a few of the things that fill my days.
In my opening blog (It’s About Perspective), I describe myself as a reader and an optimist. That’s an accurate description, although a very incomplete one. I won’t bore you with the details of my history, though. Suffice it to say that I am passionate about what I do.
I earned my bachelor’s in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and have fashioned a very diverse and fulfilling career in business. My passion, however, has always been writing. I’ve been able to fulfill that passion professionally with a solid background in marketing and communications. However, I believe it’s time to take it to the next level. Hence, this blog.
This Blog.
If you were to ask me what motivates me, I would have to say “life.” Sounds a little pretentious, doesn’t it? The truth is, I do believe that in most situations we have a choice in how we approach our lives. I am motivated by the sound of my son saying “I love you, mom” at the most unexpected moment. I am motivated by the knowledge that people around the world are coming together in support of the most recent victims of the latest catastrophe. I am motivated by watching a stranger gently guide their elderly parent into a restaurant, no matter how long it takes, and into their seat for a special night out. I am motivated by knowing that the few hours I spent the last few months working on a fundraising event for a local youth organization will help ensure that organization remains viable for a little while longer.
We are all unique. Our uniqueness applies to our approach to life. I tend to take the bull by the horns and experience life to its fullest, always with a positive outlook. My hope is that this blog will help you look at your life with a little more wonderment and a greater sense of appreciation and fulfillment. I hope to always leave with you a smile on your face and an eagerness to see what unexpected pleasures the day might hold for you. Enjoy.
